A Music Service for children and young people providing:

·       instrumental and vocal tuition in schools

·       music centres with a range of groups to join

·       performance opportunities for young musicians

An Arts Service supporting schools:

·       developing the arts curriculum

·       accessing arts projects

·       expanding out of school arts activities

Our lives are enriched by music and the arts.  Taking part in music, art, dance, drama and other cultural activities can have a significant impact on young people’s development.  This has been shown repeatedly in international studies.  As well as being valuable and enjoyable in its own right, participation in cultural activities also gives young people the chance to develop important life skills such as creativity, confidence, self-discipline, effective communication and the ability to work in teams.

Find Your Talent is the national programme aiming to develop, over the next five years, the chance for all children and young people to participate in at least five hours a week of high quality cultural activities.

Croydon Music and Arts aims to help all Croydon’s children and young people to find their talent.
