Instrument Assisted Purchase Scheme
The Instrument
Assisted Purchase Scheme assists parents and students by waiving VAT
when purchasing instruments. In order to qualify students must have at
least two more terms of full-time education, and must
either
- be taught by a
teacher employed through Croydon Music and Arts (not by the school or on
a private basis)
or
- attend regularly a
Croydon Music and Arts music centre (orchestra, band etc)
Procedure
- Contact Croydon
Music and Arts for a copy of the Instrument Assisted Purchase form
and list of dealers who participate in the scheme
- Contact a
dealer who agrees to participate in the Croydon Music and Arts
Instrument Assisted Purchase Scheme.
- Take or send
the completed form to the dealer for a signature.
- Send the form
and a cheque made payable to London Borough of Croydon to the
Croydon Music and Arts for the correct amount (ex-VAT) plus £10.00
(Administration Charge). NB this scheme will only benefit you if the
instrument costs more than £67+VAT.
Croydon Music and
Arts will send an official order form to the dealer. You will be sent a
copy of the order after which you may contact the dealer to arrange the
collection of the instrument.
