-Help with Fees |
Help with Fees Croydon Music and Arts receives public funding to support the music education of pupils in Croydon Local Authority maintained schools. Some of this money supports the administration and management of the service. Some is used to subsidise tuition charges. We have a number of different ways in which fees can be reduced in cases of financial difficulty. Please contact Croydon Music and Arts to apply for help or download an application form.
For Music Centre membership we offer: · an 80% discount in fees for children who attend Croydon maintained schools who are eligible for Free School Meals · reduced fee for membership of an instrumental workshop where children are also having instrumental / vocal lessons with Croydon Music and Arts · a limited number of Grinstead Scholarships reducing the fee for centre membership where children are having Merit Award lessons with Croydon Music and Arts. These are funded by the Dorothy Grinstead Memorial Fund and are for cases where financial circumstances make the cost of the individual tuition and centre membership difficult for the parent / carer to find.
Additional support is also available from time to time for special projects, such as free instrument hire for an ‘endangered species’ instrument where the pupil belongs to the Centre for Endangered Species or a Music Centre ensemble.
