Teaching Music in Croydon
Music is a highly valued part of education in Croydon. We have three secondary specialist schools for music and one for performing arts and a thriving Croydon Schools Music Association providing annual Infant and Junior Festivals and other opportunities which individual schools could not provide. We serve a diverse community with a wonderful mix of musical and cultural heritages to share. We are committed to supporting the full breadth of music which interests and excites young people.
To maintain our leading position, we require skilled and enthusiastic musicians to support our work. For instrumental and vocal teachers we provide a career structure supported through induction and performance management to enable musicians to be able to develop the full range of teaching opportunities in a 21st century music service. Croydon is an exciting place to develop your career in music education. If you would be interested in supporting music education in Croydon, we would like to hear from you. Please download the music education support enquiry form, complete it and email (with a copy of your CV if you wish) to musicandarts.education@croydon.gov.uk, or send to Croydon Music and Arts, Oasis Academy: Shirley Park, Shirley Road, Croydon CR9 7AL. We shall send you a copy of any relevant advertisement when a post becomes vacant. We shall contact you after a year to ask if you would like your details to remain on file, and for you to send us any updates. |
